Purchase Requirement: Tsoknyi Rinpoche has asked that these teachings only be made available to those who have received pointing out instructions on the nature of mind from himself or Mingyur Rinpoche.
The Great Perfection, or Dzogchen, is considered the most direct path to awakening in the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. This radically direct approach points out the mind's fundamental nature of luminous purity. Once this nature has been recognized and experienced, problems and negativity automatically dissolve, leaving the open space of pure awareness, in which the qualities of enlightenment spontaneously unfold.
In this series of teachings, Tsoknyi Rinpoche offers insights and experiential guidance on the Dzogchen teachings, basing his insights on a profound text entitled The Lamp that Dispels Darkness. This text, writen by the famed 19th century Dzogchen master Ju Mipham, presents key points on the Great Perfection in a profound yet accessible manner. Tsoknyi Rinpoche's teachings were given at the annual Exploring the Nature of Mind retreat held by the Tergar community at St. John's University in 2013. These recordings also include teachings by Khenpo Kunga and the Tergar instructors, as well as a series of short talks on the Path of Liberation by Mingyur Rinpoche.
