Pointing out the Dharmakaya, composed by the Ninth Karmapa, Wangchuk Dorje, is one of the most important meditation texts of the Kagyu lineage. This text explains the entire path of meditation, from the preliminary practices, or ngöndro, up to the most profound and sacred instructions on recognizing the nature of mind.
In the winter of 2009, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, assisted by Khenpo Kunga, gave over twenty hours of teachings on this text to an international group of students at the Tergar Institute in Bodhgaya, India. Rinpoche’s instructions, at once both profound and playful, were informed by his extensive experience practicing and teaching Mahamudra meditation in the traditional three-year retreat. The instructions he gave over the course of this seminar were among the most clear and extensive teachings he has ever offered on Mahamudra meditation.
The teachings on this disc provide detailed instructions on the preliminary practices, Mahamudra tranquility meditation and insight meditation, and especially on recognizing the nature of mind.
