Description
Purchase Requirement: Mingyur Rinpoche has asked that recordings of nature of mind teachings only be made available to those who have received pointing out instructions of the nature of mind from himself, Tsoknyi Rinpoche or Khenpo Kunga. These are regularly given at Nature of Mind retreats, as well as Path of Liberation level I and Mahamudra level II retreats.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the most profound and direct meditation instructions involve exploring the nature of mind. Glimpsing the spacious clarity of awareness i n the immediacy of the present moment puts us in touch with a deep sense of innner peace that is always present, though not always recognized. The teachings that lead us to this experience are given in a series of "pointing out instructions," experiential points that have been passed down from teacher to student for centuries in both India and Tibet.
In 2015, Senior Tergar Lama Khenpo Kunga gave teachings on the key points of nature of mind practice at the annual Tergar retreat at St John's University in Collegeville, MN. Basing his instructions on one of the most cherished texts of Tibetan Buddhism, Takpo Tashi Namgual's Clarifying the Nature State, Khenpo Kunga offered step-by-step guidance on relaxing and calming the mind, and then exploring the nature clarity and openness of pure awareness.
