On Wednesday, March 20th, at Gordon Commons on the UW-Madison campus, join us at 7 pm for an engaging evening that will include science, guided meditation by Dr. Davidson, and ample time for questions.

In this in-person-only talk, Dr. Davidson will share the latest findings and insights on meditation, including the many physical benefits that accompany meditation’s mental benefits. Even if you’ve heard Dr. Davidson speak about meditation before, you’re sure to learn new gems that have recently emerged from the growing field of meditation research.

About Dr. Richie Davidson:

 

Richard J. Davidson, PhD, is a renowned neuroscientist and one of the world’s leading experts on the impact of contemplative practices, such as meditation, on the brain. He is the founder of the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Dr. Davidson is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking work in studying emotion and the brain. A friend and confidante of the Dalai Lama, he is a highly sought after expert and speaker internationally. Time magazine named him one of the most influential people in the world in 2006.
